Habitat: Dry red clay & sand. Prosopis dominant in area.

Description: Erect shrub, 1 m tall, much branched. Main joints 3-4 dm long; more terminal joints shorter & cylindrical, 25-75 cm long, 3-4.5 mm dia. Tubercles lacking. Spines 1 per aerole, 2.5-5 cm long, .5 mm dia basally, gray.Flower/fruit not present.
