Description:
Erect perennial, stems several, 5+ cm tall, unbranched, striate. Leaves alternate, eliptic to lanceolate to 2 x 6 cm long, reduced above, entire, sessile, with malpighicoeus hairs on both surfaces. Infloresence an axillary androgenous raceme to 9 cm long. Staminate flowers: androphore stout, 1.5 mm. Pistillate: Petals rudimentary or none. Seed: subspheroidal 3x4 mm, apiculate, faintly reticulate.
