Location: 1.25 km east of Hwy 281 & 1 block north of Thousand Oaks, corner of Ledge Sage and Ledge View streets.
Latitude: 0.000000

Habitat: Nearly level, vacant, undisturbed land. Thin, rocky soil. A few Quercus and Diospyros trees.

Description: Dense colnies about .3 m tall. Erect, well branched annual, taprooted. Stems woody near base. Leaves 3-6 cm long, oblanceolate, variously lobed/toothed, sessile to clasping, hisute upper & lower. Inflorescences terminal on 12 cm peduncle. Rays 6-10, 15 mm long; red, tipped with yellow.
