Habitat: Well drained, alkaline, alluvial soil. Some shade from larger trees.
Description: Tree to 7 m. Branches thin, with recurved spines and green bark. Leaves alternate, pinnately twice compound, 30 cm long (or more). Leaflets many, deciduous. Flowers pappilinaceous, yellow.
