Habitat: Half shade; above average moisture. Deep alluvial soil, usually alkaline, but tempered by humus.
Description: Annual, to 40 cm tall. Erect, single stalk, some plants branched in upper third. Leaves opposite, ovate, acute apically and attenuate basally, dentate. Petioles 20 mm, or more. Involucres terminal.
