Habitat: Normal moisture, full sun, alkaline alluvial soil.

Description: Tufted perennial to 50 cm. Nodes hispid, sheaths minutely pubescent, collar w/long hairs. Blades involute 2-3 mm x 25 cm, pubescent. Callus sharp, densely hairy basally, w/ring of awn of lemma 6 cm, twisted below, twice geneculate above.
