Habitat: Full sun, gravelly soil w/ Poaceae and Solanum eleaganifolium. Few scattered plants.

Description: Annual herb; stems/leaves spiney; flowers yellow, tubular; lobes five and pointed; fruit a capsule, spiny with many small black seed. Plant compact.
