Habitat: In full shade under Juniperus ashei, in rocky but good soil.
Description: Long decumbent perennial; culm to 10 dm long. Ligule a scale 1 mm long. Spikelets attached nearly at the margin by short pedicels. First glume present, triangular, but small. Sterile lemma glabrous.
