Habitat: West facing hill in full sun with stoney soil, but good dirt.
Description: Perennial with erect, stiff, glaucous stems to 80 cm long. Sheath equaling internodes. Panicles large. Spikelets hairless, to 3.7 mm long. First glume about half the length of the spikelet, pointed at tip. Second glume and lemma of lower floret equal to spikelet.
