Habitat: Under Juniperus ashei at edge of woods. Good morning sun. Soil rocky, but with good humus and dirt.
Description: Stems mostly 100 cm long,but plant slumps over. Sheaths hairless, or nearly so. Infloresence an open panicle, 10-26 cm long. Spikelets 8-15 mm long, with 1-4 seed bearing florets. Tip of second floret exceeds the tip of the first.
