Location: Hwy 16, about 9 km NW of Helotes.
Latitude: 0.000000

Habitat: Along fence separating road side grade and fields. Soils typical Hill Country: Rocky, stoney, calcarious.

Description: Open, tall bush, to 2.7 m tall. Leaves narrowly linear to narrowly eliptic, and sessile on striate branches. Masses of long silvery and silky white pappus hairs produced by female flowers. Achene 8-10 ribbed.
