Habitat: Bottom of west facing hill; soil rocky, stoney, little humus; full sun.

Description: Tufted perennial with stems over 1 m tall, unbranched above base. Sheaths hairless; blades dull-bluish-green, hairless. Infloresence 2-10 unbranched primary branches scattered along main axis. Glumes awnless.
