Habitat:
City street roadside on steep hill. Plants arise from roadside grade of stone, rocks, and gravel. Well drained. Very dry and shallow soil.
Description:
Single stem 1 m high; multiple branches at obtuse angles to stem; stem and branches pilose; leaves sessile to clasping 45 x 20 mm and dentate; branches spread into panicle of yellow flower heads of disk and ray flowers 18 mm across. Ray florets pistillate, their pappus absent. Aromatic.
