Habitat: Level, alluvial, clay soil; dry. A small grove in full sun.
Description: Small tree, to 6 m tall, bark medium-green, smoothe above. Branches armed w/needle-like, slightly recurved spines. Folliage feathery. Leaves alternate, pinnately twice compound. Pinnae 1-2 pairs; flat, linear, to 20 cm long. Legumes torulose, to 10 cm long slightly flattened, brown, deciduous. Seeds few/pod, 3 x 4 x 6 mm thick/wide/long.
