Level, alluvial soil. Full sun. Nominal moisture. Many, but scattered.
Description:
Erect, taprooted annual, 30 cm tall, much branched, straight. Leaves to 17 x 33 mm, most smaller above, ovate-lanceolate, alternate (lower appearing opposite), light-green above, lighter beneath. Pistillate flowers w/4 ultimate stigmatic ends. Sepals-5, fruit an ovoid capsule w/1 functional cell, dihiscing septicidally. Seed ovoid, 2 x 3 mm, black, pitted, carunculate.
