Habitat:
In bed of Lonicera japonica & under Quercus texana. Isolated colony of 3-4 plants, not known elsewhere in the community.
Description:
Erect to decumbent, much branched perennial, to 6 dm tall from coarse rhizome. Stems, petioles & mid-veins of leaves w/many acicular, yellow spines. Fruit globose, yellow when mature, 1-2 cm dia; this specimen immature, green, 1 cm dia.
