Habitat: Well drained, clay hillside. Full sun.

Description: Annual, to 7 dm tall. Leaves 1-2 pinnatifid. Whole plant armed w/straight prickles; corolla yellow, regular, to 25 mm dia. Fruit a berry w/hooked bristles.
