Habitat:
Full sun; in mud of shallow, slow moving fresh watr. Several dense colonies.
Description:
Leaves over-topping scapes; blades elliptic to lanceolate, unlobed, to 15 cm long, half or less as wide. Scape simple w/4-5 whorls, lower whorls pistillate w/pedicels to 25 mm, recurving in fruit. Fruiting heads to 15 mm dia. Petals white, non-persistant.
