Our unique native plant gardens are designed to inspire, to educate and to demonstrate the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants and landscapes. The newest garden, the 4.5-acre Luci and Ian Family Garden, combines whimsical features by one of the nation’s leading landscape architects with dramatic native plantings.
The Café Garden features a mid-grass prairie community and other native species in a semi-formal design.

In the center of this garden we often have an art exhibit. Each art exhibit runs for several months and visitors are encouraged to see how the gardens change over the seasons and how this affects the context of the art.
In this garden, you will also find one of our many memorial benches where you can sit and enjoy the gardens.
Just around the corner from the Café Garden is a meadow styled to be a hybrid between a wildflower meadow and a garden bed.
