Smith-Rodgers, Sheryl

Sheryl Smith-Rodgers is a native Texan and long-time freelance journalist and photographer who’s written for Texas Parks & Wildlife, Texas Highways, Texas Co-op Power, Guideposts, American Profile, and countless other magazines and newspapers. She’s also written two non-fiction books on camping and Texas cafes. Since 2008, she’s blogged about the certified Texas Wildscape that she and husband James Hearn tend at their home in Blanco, Texas (blog: “Window on a Texas Wildscape”). In 2012, she became a certified Texas Master Naturalist with the Highland Lakes chapter. Many of Sheryl’s plant images were photographed on the couple’s property in Central Texas.
