Weiner, Emily

Following a move back home to Texas in 2009, Emily Weiner landed in the Texas Hill Country and quickly realized she did not recognize a single plant she saw on her regular hikes. She began volunteering with the Cibolo Nature Center which fueled her curiosity for native plants and led her to become active with the Boerne Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas.

Emily is an avid hiker and Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalist with both of these ventures allowing ample opportunity to find and learn about the plants that make up her favorite landscapes. She captures as many images as she can in an effort to learn more about native plants, but also to capture their unique beauty and advocate for their use in home yardscapes.

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is committed to developing the premier resource for native plant images in North America through continued growth of the Plant Image Gallery. You can help us achieve our mission ...to increase the sustainable use and conservation of native wildflowers, plants, and landscapes... by becoming a contributor.
