Shot: Close-up of flowers and stems with leaves. Photographer's note: "Stems of Agalinis faciculata exhibit leafy stems with slender leaves in dense bundles or fascicles. This is the other Agalinis I frequently see in the NC and SC Sandhills. The plant is much less robust than Agalinis fasciculata. The blossoms are considerably smaller but very attractive. Note the long pedicels, again a trait used by Weakley (Dr. Alan S. Weakley in Flora of the Southern and Mid-Atlantic States) as well as the densely long- hairy throaty of the corolla."
