Shot: Two fronds displayed ex situ on a rock. The adaxial surface of the frond on the left and the abaxial surface of the frond on the right (with sori) faces the camera. Photographer's note: "Alabama lipfern is rare in Georgia. It only grows on carbonate rocks. Usually the plants grow in sporadic small colonies. The Collins Mountain location is unusual because there is so much of it. There are hundreds of colonies and they can be very large."
