Shot: Close-up of an inflorescence. Photographer's note: "Violet wood sorrel is common in north Georgia and rare to the south. The species normally grows in wooded situations and blooms in the late spring to early summer with leaves present. At Broxton Rocks the species grows on exposed rock glades and blooms in late summer to early fall and without leaves."
