Shot: Close-up of flowering plants. Photographer's note: "Southern bluet is a species on the move. It is showing up in natural areas that are in close proximity to human gathering sites. There are very few documented locations for this tiny annual in Georgia. The species was first documented on a granite outcrop in a park in Columbus, Georgia. Yesterday, I found it to be very common on the granite outcrops near the north parking lot at Stone Mountain. Because it is so common there, I suspect it has been present for several years now. I would not consider it native. Humans most certainly move it around but not intentionally."
