Shot: Close-up of an inflorescence. Photographer's note: "Pigweed is an awful pest plant that invades cultivated crops in much of the southeast. In the last few years it has become resistant to glyphosate, a herbicide used to control pest plants. In many cases pigweed has to be physically removed which not very cost effective. This soybean field is highly overgrown with pigweed."
