Shot: Plant (on the right) growing in a rock fissure. The plant on the left is Asplenium ×kentuckiense. Photographer's note: "Kentucky spleenwort is an incidental sterile hybrid between lobed spleenwort and ebony spleenwort. It is very rare in Georgia and was located years ago at this upper coastal plain location. Earlier this year, I located a single plant. I checked on that plant today and found a second hybrid. They are growing with both parents in the vicinity.
