Shot: Landscape - Wind is an important element of the prairie. Plant associations include Prairie Blazingstar, Liatris pycnostachya; Rattlesnake Master,Eryngium yuccifolium; the remaining seedheads of Texas Coneflower, Rudbeckia texana and Switchgrass, Panicum virgatum (bright green leaves). The brown-colored inflorescence of Switchgrass is seen in the distance.
