Luci and Ian Family Garden Grand Opening 

Join us for the public grand opening of the Luci and Ian Family Garden on Sunday, May 4 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Explore a maze made of native shrubs, giant tree stumps for kids to climb on, a Fibonacci spiral, giant birds' nests made from native grape vines, a grotto with caves and a waterfall, a lawn designed with native turf, a creek with dinosaur footprints and water activities, and much more.

Hours

  • 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Sunday Event Schedule

  • 11am: Gina Chavez
  • 12pm: Big Don
  • 1pm: Storytime in the Little House
  • 1pm-3pm: Children’s book sale and book signings in the Store
  • 3pm: Hank and Shaidri Alrich (Americana songwriter)
  • 4:30pm: Wood and Wire (main act, bluegrass)

Food carts, a garden discovery quest, and tons of other activities throughout the day!

THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE WILDFLOWER CENTER ON MAY 4. Shuttle buses to the center will be available from the parking lot at Bowie High School.

Wildflower Center members join us  Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for a special preview, which will include:

  • 11am: Big Don (kid-focused hip hop)
  • 12pm: Storytime in the Little House
  • 1pm: Latasha LEE & the Black Ties (main act, R&B Soul 10-piece band)
  • 1pm-3pm:Book signings in the Store
