Q. Who is Mr. Smarty Plants?

A: There are those who suspect Wildflower Center volunteers are the culpable and capable culprits. Yet, others think staff members play some, albeit small, role. You can torture us with your plant questions, but we will never reveal the Green Guru's secret identity.

Title: Information on medicinal plant uses by Dakota Indians
Answered by: Nan Hampton

I would like to know what the plants were that were used for medicinal purposes by the plains Indians in the Dakotas. Is there a place/site that I can go to to research the data?

The University of Michigan-Dearborn has an excellent database, Native American Ethnobotany, that should be just what you are looking for.
