Joan Son's origami

Detail from Joan Son’s “Fields of Gold,” acrylic on paper, 20 x 20 x 2 inches

Joan Son, known for her origami art, takes the next step in her exploration of contemporary art as fine art. Working with the finest papers, she paints, cuts and folds her way through the natural world. She seeks the mystical in the simple. Son’s works have been displayed at Tiffany’s and Co., the Smithsonian and the National Gallery of Art.

See her show in the Store through May 28.
