Native Plants of Central Texas for Teachers

July 18, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Golden groundsel cluster, by Bruce Leander

After learning the native plants that grow in and around Austin, attendees will be prepared to take this knowledge back to their classrooms. Learn the basics of plant identification, including how to use a plant key. This class will spend a lot of eyes-on and hands-on time outside identifying plants in Center gardens and along our trails. Students will also be introduced to the conservation of rare plants and identification of invasive plant species (and how to combat them).

$95 per person.

Space is limited and registration is required; register here.
