In celebration of National Wildflower Week, May 3 & 5 we will feature a special edition of Sprouts! Join our education coordinator, Anjoli Fry, in exploring the world of plant parts and wildflowers through shapes and patterns. Families will learn how a flower makes seeds and take a hand-held “Pollinator Pal” for a walk through the gardens to help with wildflower pollination.
Sprouts is held every Wednesday and Friday! Bring your little ones to the Family Garden for this preschool program tailored for ages three to five. A Nature Play Guide will lead exciting expeditions of discovery. Each program includes a sensory activity, story, nature walk and of course, nature play! A new seasonal, age-appropriate theme is featured each week.
Please come dressed for the weather and don’t forget your water bottle! Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 – 11 a.m. Registration is not required and the program is free with regular garden admission. Admission is always free for members!
Sprouts meets in the Outdoor Classroom March through May.
In June, we will switch back to the Little House to beat some of the summer heat!
