Calling all budding artists! Join visiting artist Dorothy Hunter to learn how to draw flowers. Children will learn about botanical art illustration, including fundamental principles, drawing skills and color mixing, and using graphite and colored pencils. Before the drawing begins, the class will tour the gardens for inspiration. Class will result in each child taking home a beautiful botanical drawing. This class occurs on multiple dates, with each class focusing on different flower subjects.

$40.00 child (ages 10 years+), includes all materials.

Dorothy Hunter is an experienced elementary thru high school teacher and teaches regularly at Filoli Gardens in California. She has completed the Botanical Art Certification Program at Filoli and has shown in several of their juried exhibitions. She is a member of American Society of Botanical Artists, Northern California Society of Botanical Artists and is on the board of the Atherton Arts Foundation.
