Austin Museum Day 2011 at the Wildflower Center

Learn all about the new Luci Baines Johnson and Ian Turpin Family Garden opening in 2014 and get a sneak peek of what the interactive Watering Holes feature will offer. Family Garden presentations at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

At 11 a.m. in the auditorium hear Dr. Molly Ogorzaly, co-author of Plants in Our World: Economic Botany, present a lighthearted look at the controversial, cutting edge research on our sense of smell and other ways that plants influence our moods and motivation in her lecture "Perfumes, Potions, and other Plant Aphrodisiacs, the science and chicanery of aromatherapy".

From 1 to 3 p.m. there will be children’s book signings in The Store with Carol Toole, author of Tara’s Spring Wish, and Liz Scanlon, author of Noodle and Lou. Listen to Carol Toole read her book in the Little House at noon.
